Beloved, what is that past event that is still plaguing our mind? Is there a tragedy that we remember and we wish we could turn back the hands of the clock? Is there something about our past that still hounds and haunts us till date? Is there a mistake in our past that each time we remember it, we hate ourselves?
Beloved, Hear God's Word to us: FORGET THE PAST! We should stop mourning over our past events. We should not set our mind on the distress and regrets of the past. We shouldn't allow our mind to be overwhelmed by the pains of the past. We shouldn't allow the devil to depress us on account of our past events that didn't work in our favour.
If we keep dwelling on our past, we will never get a grip on the future. We certainly can't master our future if we are still a slave to the past. Isaiah 43 vs 18 advices,"Remember Ye not the former things, neither consider the things of Old".
The Future needs our attention. It has something beautiful to offer us, but first we must let go of the past in order to receive the good tidings of the future!
